Entry Twelve: "Advertisements & Jefkin's"

This an advertisement to promote the introduction of the Absolut Wild Tea presented by Karin O, the lead singer of the band Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs.

1.) Ad should be of interest to the reader ---
Readers of an Entertainment Weekly magazine would perhaps be familiar with the lead singer Karin O. Her face alone on this advertisement would spark interest. The overall design scheme is textured and full of foliage, a panther, and an environment that is exotic and mysterious. Visually, this ad sets an ambiance that would best describe their newest product.

2.) Ad should be precise and get to the point quickly ---
Absolut uses the bottle shape to get across their product in majority of their advertisements. In this ad, we still see the bottle, and it translates that this is an Absolute product.

3.) Ad should be concise and using the fewest necessary words ---
Besides the drink recipe in the upper right corner, this ad uses different font and a short message to get this product across. The typography design is inviting and centered so we can understand the context behind the top image.

This ad works in that the central idea is found in not only the message but the imagery. The message is clear and visually inviting.
